International Forum Financing Rail Projects in Africa

19-21 Oct Dakar

The International Union of Railways (UIC) and the National Senegalese Railways Company (CFS) are hosting a forum to advance the African rail transport system in alignment with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). This event aims to foster ownership, collaboration, and investment in rail development while identifying financing mechanisms and strengthening public-private partnerships. The forum ultimately seeks to enhance regional cooperation in support of national and international projects that contribute to sustainable development and African integration.

GCIB for Africa is collaborating as a key partner to the event to substantially advance the funding of crucial rail infrastructure throughout the continent. A focussed session will be held at this event by GCIB, encompassing signing ceremony, and represented by a high-ranking GCIB delegation in order to yield palpable results.

GCIB Board Meeting Berlin

The special Board meeting of GCIB is scheduled to be held at the Hotel De Rome in Berlin on the 4th of September 2023. GCIB directors from around the globe will participate to identify strategies for accelerating investment and sustainable economic growth in Africa. During the meeting specific timeline based goals for tangible activities will be arrived upon. The meeting will also be hosting diplomatic and governmental officials from Germany and other countries including Ambassadors of African Countries

World Investment Forum for Africa - 2024
Dakar Senegal

GCIB for Africa, in partnership with the Government of Senegal, is proud to propose the organization of a World Investment Forum to be held in Dakar, Senegal in 2024. This prestigious event will bring together global investors, business leaders, and policymakers to explore investment opportunities in Africa, particularly in Senegal and West Africa, and to promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth across the continent. The focus theme for this forum will be on unleashing Africa's potential by leveraging innovative financing solutions to empower communities, bolster thriving businesses, and generate sustainable opportunities for all.
